We strive to meet the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These standards help ensure that individuals of all abilities, including those using assistive devices, can access, use, and understand the information on our site.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
We continuously work to identify and remove accessibility barriers. Our website includes features designed to improve access for all users, including:
- Text alternatives for images and charts

- Color and text choices that improve readability
- Compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies
- Accessible PDF and downloadable documents whenever feasible
We also routinely review, test, and update our content to maintain accessibility.
Known Accessibility Limitations
While we work to ensure full accessibility, some older documents or third party content may not yet meet accessibility standards. We are actively addressing these items and welcome feedback to help us improve.
Language Access
We recognize the importance of providing information in languages other than English. Upon request, NMDOH will translate materials into additional languages to ensure that our services and public information are accessible to all those needing information and resources.
